Cheryl and Quran McCain are challenging norms and showing the world that love doesn't come with an age limit. The couple, known for their joyful TikTok dance videos, got married in September 2021. Despite a 37-year age gap and waves of online criticism, their connection remains strong and unwavering.

Going Viral by Being Themselves
Cheryl, 61, and Quran, 24, gained online fame through their TikTok content, where their fun-loving energy and chemistry stood out. Cheryl’s first dance post wasn’t meant to go viral—but it did, quickly racking up thousands of likes and starting their journey in the spotlight.

“When I shared it, I instantly got 8,000 likes. I never expected that kind of attention,” Cheryl said.
Though their popularity soared, so did the criticism—especially over their age gap. But Cheryl and Quran focused on each other, not the noise, and built their joy on mutual love and support.
Choosing Love Over Judgment
Through all the hate, Quran has remained Cheryl’s biggest cheerleader. In May 2021, after nearly giving up on TikTok, Cheryl posted a heartfelt thank-you video to Quran for reminding her of her worth and encouraging her to keep going.

"I was ready to stop making TikToks because of all the hate, but someone from my past lifted me back up," Cheryl shared.
Since then, their videos have inspired millions, proving that love and joy can silence even the loudest critics.

From TikTok to "I Do"
After just over five months of dating, the couple said “I do” in a scenic ceremony in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Cheryl wore a simple white dress and sandals as the two exchanged vows in front of close friends and family.

“He is my soulmate. He makes me feel alive, and I do the same for him,” Cheryl said. “I said yes because I knew deep down our bond was something rare.”
Finding Strength in Each Other
Being in the spotlight hasn’t been easy. Cheryl has shared moments of vulnerability online, including one emotional video where she said, “I’ve lost myself. My self-esteem is so low. I don’t feel pretty anymore.”

But Quran’s support never wavered. “We try to tune out the hate. It still hurts sometimes, but we lean on each other,” Cheryl said.
Now, the couple is focused on their future. “I’m not worried about what anyone says about him or his past,” Cheryl said. “Because we are building something real—together.”
