Cheryl McGregor is 63 years old. She’s a mother of seven and a grandmother to 17. Now, she’s preparing to welcome her eighth child—with her 26-year-old husband, Quran McCain.

The couple, who rose to internet fame for their 37-year age gap, recently revealed on TikTok that they’re expecting a baby girl through a surrogate. The video quickly went viral, drawing millions of views—and plenty of reactions.
From Co-Workers to Life Partners

Cheryl and Quran first met in 2012 while working at a Dairy Queen in Georgia. At the time, she was 52 and he was just 15. They stayed in touch as friends, but it wasn’t until 2020—when Quran saw Cheryl again at a different job—that their friendship turned into a romantic relationship.

The pair got married in 2021, and since then, they’ve built a loyal following of nearly five million fans on TikTok. Their videos often feature daily life, relationship updates, and now, their journey to parenthood.
Starting a Family Through Surrogacy
For Cheryl and Quran, having a child together was a dream they weren’t ready to give up on, even though Cheryl is unable to carry a baby. After exploring adoption and surrogacy, the couple announced earlier this year that they had found a surrogate and were expecting.

In one video, Quran explained, “We are looking for a nice surrogate who is willing to sign a contract to have nothing to do with the child after it’s born.”
They made it clear that their decision wasn’t about money or attention. “We just want a child who is loved and well cared for.”
It’s a Girl!

In a now-viral gender reveal, Cheryl and Quran first popped a balloon filled with multicolored confetti—then moved outdoors to launch pink smoke cannons. Cheryl embraced her husband with joy as they celebrated the news: they’re having a daughter.
The comments section filled with congratulations and encouragement from fans. “I’m so happy for you guys,” one user wrote. “The way she hugged him—so cute!” said another.
Facing Criticism, Staying United

Not everyone was supportive. Many commenters questioned Cheryl’s ability to parent at 63 and expressed concern over the future.
Cheryl responded in a separate video, saying, “We deserve children of our own. I understand I may not be here as long as Quran, but I have faith in him. He will be a great father.”
She added that her family was initially unsure, but many have now come to support their decision.
A Growing Family—and a Growing Conversation

Cheryl and Quran know they are different from most couples—but they’ve never let that stop them from pursuing the life they want. As they prepare to welcome their baby girl, they continue to challenge norms, spark conversation, and share their journey with the world—one post at a time.
